All applicants will have a full medical examination, including a urine test if aged 5 years and above.

All applicants aged 11 years and above will need a chest X-ray.

In addition, Permanent Visa applicants aged 15 years and above will require blood tests for HIV status, and Hepatitis B and C blood tests if they have tattoo(s).

All doctors, dentists or nurses working in healthcare will require blood tests for HIV, Hepatitis B and C.
